Fedpoly Ile-Oluji Rector, Fasakin celebrates with Christians at Easter

The Rector of the Federal Polytechnic, Ile-Oluji, Prof Emmanuel Adedayo Fasakin, has urged Christians nationwide to imbibe and live the values of humility, discipline and perseverance exemplified by the Jesus Christ during His short Earth-Life.

Besides, he asked them to rekindle their faith in their crucified Lord and Master, Who triumphed over persecution and sufferings with His exemplary endurance and steadfastness.

In the message which he signed, Fasakin heartily felicitated “with the Christian Community, Staff and Students of the Institution and Christian faithful in Nigeria and around the globe on this auspicious occasion of the commemoration of the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead after crucifixion.”

His words: “I particularly rejoice and remain thankful to God Almighty for making us living witnesses to another Easter Celebration in spite of the Covid-19 pandemic and rising insecurity threats in the Country.

“Despite obvious challenges, God has been very faithful to the FEDPOLEL family and its entirety as the Institution has continued to wax stronger in its pursuit of academic excellence and in advancement of technical and vocational education to its immediate environment and beyond.

“In commemoration of this festivity, I urge all and sundry to imbibe and live the values of humility, discipline and perseverance as demonstrated by Jesus Christ during His stay on earth.

“Let the Christian faithful rekindle their faith in Christ Who overcame persecution, sufferings and displayed endurance and steadfastness.

“Moreover, let’s adhere strictly to Covid-19 safety protocols by maintaining social distancing and to celebrate this occasion in meekness and simplicity.

“I wish you all a happy Easter Celebration.”
