Fedpoly, Ile Oluji Rector, Fasakin bags man of the year award

The Rector of the Federal Polytechnic, Ile-Oluji, Ondo State, Prof. Emmanuel Adedayo Fasakin, is billed to receive an award of excellence from the Trace News Magazine as Man of the Year on Friday, February 7, 2020 at the Ruby’s Court Event Centre, Oke-Ijebu, Akure by 5:00 p.m.

A statement by the institution’s Head of Information, Protocol and Passages, Mr Sanmi Enigbokan, said that the award is in recognition of the Rector’s giant strides in developing the Polytechnic from scratch to greatness within a short period of time,which has culminated in the transformation of the Polytechnic from its temporary to permanent site and accreditation of all its academic programmes by the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE).

The investiture ceremony will feature a lecture presentation by the Chairman, Editorial Board of Tribune Titles, Dr. Festus Adedayo, on the theme: Elections As Albatross Of Democracy In Nigeria: The Way Out.

The Royal Father of the Day is Oba Aladetoyinbo Aladelusi Ogunlade, Odundun II, the Deji and Paramount Ruler of Akure Kingdom, while the Governor of Ondo State, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, SAN, will be the Special Guest of Honour at the occasion. 

The Trace Awards is an annual event that was put in place in 2011 to celebrate and recognise great achievers in their various callings. Since inception, 7 recipients had been so honoured with the awards, while the Rector will be the 8th recipient to be accorded this prestigious award.

The auspicious occasion is expected to draw important dignitaries from all walks of life, including members of the management team of the Federal Polytechnic, Ile-Oluji Members of Staff and Friends of the Polytechnic are encouraged to attend the programme as scheduled.
