Fedpoly Ile Oluji constitutes convocation, ceremonials committee

Management of Federal Polytechnic, Ile-Oluji, Ondo State has reconstituted the Convocation and Ceremonials Committee of the institution with effect from 17th October, 2022.

A statement by the institution’s Deputy Registrar, Information & Protocol, Mr Sanmi Enigbokan, said that “the Committee at its inaugural meeting held on Wednesday, 26th October, 2022 had swung into action with the constitution of selected sub-committees for the delivery of a befitting convocation ceremony in the Polytechnic which is proposed for December,2022.”

Quoting a correspondence signed by the Registrar, Mr Gabriel Awe, with the caption ” Constitution of Convocation and Ceremonials Committee”, Enigbokan said the 12-member Committee would be headed by the Ag. Deputy Rector of the Institution, Engr. Adeolu Olawuni, while an Assistant Registrar in the Personnel Affairs Division of the Registry, Mrs. Idowu Akinya, will serve as Secretary.

Other members of the Committee are Mr. Solomon Akindutire, Ag. Dean, School of Business and Management Studies; Mr Sanmi Enigbokan, Deputy Registrar, Information, Protocol and Passages; Mr. Sunday Ayodeji, Deputy Registrar, Rectory; Dr. Olayemi Olasehinde, Computer Science Dept.; and Mr. Akinwumi Oludeyi, SAR, Personnel Affairs Division.

They also include Engr. Adewole Adetunmbi, HOD, Electrical/ Electronics Engineering; Dr.(Mrs.) Stella Akinsola, General Studies Dept.; Mrs. Opeyemi Bademosi-Ekunpa, School Officer, School of Applied Sciences; Mr. Saheed Babayanju, Ag.Head, Security Unit and Mr. Wasiu Ademola, of Bursary Department.

According to the statement: “The Committee is saddled with the responsibilities of overseeing the planning and preparation for convocation and other ceremonies of the Polytechnic; ensuring proper venue to host convocation and other ceremonies; providing and coordinating the logistics for convocation and other ceremonies, as well as carrying out every activity that will culminate into a successful ceremony; among others.”
