Falemu, Babalola, others in Akure North defect to APC

Chief Ladi Falemu, the PDP coordinator in Akure North Local Government, and others have defected to the APC.

This was in a statement by the APC Director of Media & Publicity in the state, Mr Steve Otaloro.

He said this decision, which took place last week, “marks a significant shift in the political landscape of Akure North Local Government in Ondo State.:

The statement said: “Chief Ladi Falemu, known for his grassroots mobilization efforts and financial support within the PDP, has joined forces with the APC, alongside notable leaders such as Pa Babalola, Clement Omobomi, Chief Falodi, Chief (Mrs) Olaniyi Funke, Hon. Obayemi Oluwalola, and many others.

“Their decision to defect to the APC demonstrates a strong vote of confidence in the party’s vision and leadership.

“The Chairman of the APC in Ondo State, Engr. Ade Adetimehin warmly welcomes Chief Falemu and the other defectors into the party.

“Recognizing Chief Falemu’s political influence and the valuable contributions of all the new members, he has directed their seamless integration into key leadership positions within the party structure.

“Chief Ladi Falemu and the other defectors have expressed their commitment to working diligently with the APC flag-bearer to secure victory in the upcoming November governorship election. Their wealth of experience and dedication will undoubtedly strengthen the party’s position in Ondo State.

“We look forward to a fruitful collaboration with Chief Falemu, Pa Babalola, and the other notable leaders as we collectively strive for a brighter future for Akure North LG and Ondo State as a whole.”
