An American firm, Rowland Empire Innovation Prince and Princess Pageant USA, has unveiled an Ile-Ife-born seasoned healthcare professional and fashion entrepreneur, Ambassador Princess Temilomo Lawal as a Youth Role Model and Mentor for its 2023 Face of Osun Pageant, the Light Edition.
The CEO of the Pageant, Prince Timi Abiri, disclosed this at the weekend during a media briefing in preparation for this year’s version, which is the eleventh edition of the event, in Osogbo, the Osun State capital.
Abiri said that the honour on Ambassador Princess Temilomo Lawal is in recognition of her immense ontributions to women empowerment in the State of the Living Spring, and particularly her home town, Ile-Ife, the Cradle of the Yoruba Race.
The CEO said: “Ambassador Princess Temilomo Lawal is a name that resonates with dedication and passion in the field of midwifery.
“She is a unique role model for young ladies and the entire youth of our promising and great Country Nigeria in Midwifery, a branch of Medicine dedicated to saving, nurturing and easing new life, to which she has passionately dedicated her special gifts and ability as a woman, a wonderful blessing to whoever crosses her blessed earthly path.”
Ambassador Princess Temilomo Lawal was born into, and raised, by one of the Royal Families of the legendary Cradle of the Yoruba Race, Ile Ife, specifically into the famous Obaloran Compound, with her historic roots running deep into the highly-cherished tradition and culture of the Yoruba Race, which is the Pride of our dear great and promising Country Nigeria.
She started her academic journey at the highly reputable Oranmiyan Grammar School in Ile-Ife, where she laid the foundation of her ambitious dreams.
Notably, this School, one of the best secondary schools in the entire Western Region of our Country now comprising six States, instilled invaluable discipline and sense of commitment in this unique Princess during her formative years, which eventually paved the way for her pursuit of higher education.
It is also remarkable that her passion for Midwifery to which she has dedicated her life, her whole being with an unusual passion led her to the esteemed University of Greenwich, London where she not only gained her formal education but also enriched her experience in the critical field of maternal and newborn care. Her relentless drive and hunger for knowledge earned her recognition as a registered midwife in two distinct nations – the United Kingdom and Nigeria.
Beyond her towering professional achievements, Princess Temilomo has always been deeply involved in community service and empowerment, an endeavour through which she has also touched several lives and lifted many others.
With her recognition of the need to uplift and empower women, she founded the “Ife Ooye Elegant Women Association Worldwide”, an organization which serves as a beacon of hope and empowerment for countless women, providing them with resources, support, and a platform to voice their concerns and aspirations.
As an outstanding business, woman, Princess Temilomo showcased her entrepreneurial spirit by establishing the “TEMI BUKKY Company Limited”, a London registered company which specialises in sales of fabrics and fashion accessories. As its director, she has been instrumental in driving the company’s vision and ensuring its success in various endeavors.
