Anakwenze said that the overwhelming and warm reception accorded the PDP Presidential Campaign Team led by His Excellency, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, across the Country throughout the just concluded Nationwide Campaign tour “gave a clear testimony of how Nigerians generally are desirous of a change of Government from a non performing President Muhammadu Buhari-led APC administration to a serious, humane and people oriented PDP administration to be led by the experienced, energetic and detribalised Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, who over the years, has been well prepared for the exalted and highly demanding Office of Nigeria’s Chief Servant.”
He said that through the just concluded exercise, “the PDP has been able to convince Nigerians that they need to elect a new Government to be led by the PDP in order to redress the numerous challenges confronting our Country which the APC administration has aggravated in the past eight years of its maladministration.”
Anakwenze stressed the need for this Saturday’s scheduled Presidential and National Assembly elections which signal off the 2023 elections to be hitch free and successful “in view of the hope which Nigerians and the international community place in the elections as the gateway to our Country’s freedom from the suffering and crises imposed on our people and which arose out of mis-governance in the past eight years.”
On the new currency, he “sympathised with the masses of our people who have been the hardest hit victims of the hasty implementation of the currency redesign and swap policies few days to elections.”
He said that the production and circulation of the new notes will prevent the positive aspects of the policies from being eroded by the prevailing suffering on Nigerians, across the Country and free the coming elections from possible risks due to the biting scarcity of the new notes across the Country.
