Ekiti State Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji, has approved the coronation and the presentation of the staff of office to the new Olosi of Osi, Oba Steve Alabi.
The event will hold at 10.00am on Saturday,31st August, 2024 at the Olosi of Osi Palace, Osi-Ekiti.
Meanwhile, the Community has appreciated the governor for the approval.
It also mobilises all the Osi sons and daughters at home and abroad to involve in preparations for receiving the governor
A statement by OPUNEXCO said “Happy preparation and a big Congratulations to HRM, the Olosi of Osi, Oba Alayeluwa Stephen Babatunde Adegboyega Alabi, the exalted Chiefs of the Osi Community, the noble men and women, VIPS, guests,the traditional age groups, Corporate Organisations and groups, formidable youths as well as Ladies and gentlemen to keep this memorable date.

Oba Alabi, a veteran journalist was a former chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ, Ondo State council.
Until his elevation as a Royal Father, he was a member of the Board of Ondo State Radoliovision Corporation, OSRC, Akure.
A celebrated broadcaster for many years with the Nigerian Television Authority, NTA, Akure, he is noted for his unique sports reportage on the station and in newspaper columns, and “amazing” daily newspaper analysis on OSRC.
