President Bola Ahmed Tinubu
An ex-envoy and Secretary of the Labour Committee of the defunct APC.’s Presidential Campaign Council, PCC., Ambassador Sola Iji, has congratulated President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on his inauguration as Nigeria’s 16th President.
Tinubu was sworn in on Monday in Abuja following the expiration of the statutory two-term tenure of former President Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR., who has since headed for his Daura, Katsina State’s hometown.
Iji, who is also the former South-West Coordinator of the Asiwaju Tinubu/Shettima Coalition for Good Governance, ATSCGG., in a statement on his behalf by Onibudo ‘Wole Iroaye, on Tuesday, prayed that Tinubu would be granted the strength and wisdom to lead Nigeria in an exemplary manner.
Particularly, he prayed that the new President would be given the required support by his cabinet, all the tiers of government, and the generality of the populace to implement his well-thought-out programmes that are meant to rapidly transform the economy and translate to visible prosperity for all Nigerians soonest.
Iji believed that with Tinubu now in the saddle, Nigerians would have the opportunity to reap abundantly from the exceptional leadership qualities which he had displayed in his years of meritorious service with superlative records as a former Lagos State Governor, an ex-Senator, and even a leading private sector player.
He prayed that Tinubu’s tenure would open a new chapter of true development and productivity for Nigeria.
