Erectile dysfunction, ED, is the inability to get and keep an erection firm enough for sex.

Having erection trouble from time to time is not necessarily a cause for concern. If erectile dysfunction is an ongoing issue, however, it can cause stress, affect your self-confidence and contribute to relationship problems.

Problem of getting or keeping an erection can also be a sign of an underlying health condition that needs treatment. Examples of such underlying health conditions are Diabetes, Hormonal imbalance (low testosterone level), Heart disease, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, etc.

Also, it may also be as a result of side effects of certain medications one is using. For example, most antihypertensive drugs have side effects that cause ED.Most men above middle age who live a sedentary lifestyle often suffer from ED.

That is why a regular exercise schedule is absolutely necessary. This will not only keep the muscles in good tone, but also ensure free flow of blood in the vessels. Regular exercise also boosts testosterone level.

Diets is also a very important consideration. Foods and supplements that can increase the body’s supply of Nitrous Oxide and Zinc are very essential for normal sexual performance in males. These can be got through sea foods, nuts and oats.
