As the jostle for the Edo governorship seat in 2024 hots up, the immediate past Minister of State for Budget and National Planning, Prince Clem Ikanade Agba, is rounding off his wide-ranging consultations just as he has begun to emplace his campaign architecture in the state.
On Friday, October 27, 2023, Agba, who is touted in many circles as a frontline aspirant for the ticket of the All Progressives Congress, APC, inaugurated his campaign office in Benin.
The inauguration of the office is prelude to the formal declaration of his interest in the governorship ticket of the APC.
The inauguration caused excitement among the crowd that stormed the office to witness the beginning of a journey towards the realisation of Edo Agenda.
Agba, who affirmed his commitment to Edo Agenda and assured the good people of Edo State that the agenda would aim at transforming the state, said that the Agenda had come to stay.
The newly-inaugurated campaign office, strategically located in the heart of Benin City, will serve as the nerve centre of Clem Agba’s political activities.
His team’s efforts, under his overall superintendence, to connect with the people of Edo State and lead them into Edo Agenda, would be coordinated from the office, which boasts state-of-the-art facilities, including a well-equipped communication centre, meeting rooms, and a dedicated space for volunteers and supporters
Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, Agba expressed his gratitude to the people of Edo State for their unwavering support and trust in his leadership.
He said that the establishment of the campaign office was a testament to his commitment to the Edo Agenda, a comprehensive plan aimed at driving development, progress, and good governance in the state.
Agba further stated, “The inauguration of this campaign office is not just a physical structure; it symbolizes our unwavering dedication to the people of Edo State.
“The Edo Agenda is a vision for a better future, and it is here to stay. We will work tirelessly to ensure that the aspirations and needs of every citizen are met.”
Agba also highlighted some of the key pillars of the Edo Agenda, which include job creation, infrastructure development, education reform, healthcare improvement, and agricultural revitalization.
He emphasized that these initiatives would be implemented through a participatory approach, involving the active engagement of the people at all levels.
As news of the inauguration spread, supporters and party members flocked to the campaign office to show their solidarity and enthusiasm for the Edo Agenda.
