Deputy Senate President appoints “Kayanmata” seller as aide

News

Deputy Senate President, Barau Jibrin, has reportedly appointed a ‘Kayanmata’ vendor, Aminat Ayeni Onisiwo, as his senior legislative aide.

“Kayanmata” refers to herbs or potions women use in different forms as sexual pleasure, enhancers, or aphrodisiacs in the northern part of Nigeria.

Many married women use ‘Kayanmata’ to spice up sexual relations, but over time, it has been peddled online as a voodoo-like herb for ladies looking to attract the attention of wealthy men.

Aminat announced her appointment in a post on her Instagram page on Friday, October 20, alongside a flier of her siblings congratulating her.

The e-flier read: “Congratulations, Princess Aminat E. Ayeni Onisiwo, on your appointment as the senior legislative aide to the Deputy Senate President of Nigeria. We wish you success in your new endeavors.”

Jibrin, however, did not announce the appointment as of press time.
