Dealers yet to comply with N125 new petrol pump price

Hours after the Federal Government announced reduction in the pump price of Premium Motor Spirit, otherwise known as petrol, dealers of the product are yet to comply.

President Muhammadu Buhari had on Wednesday announced that the price of PMS be reduced to N125 from the old price of N145 per litre.

A visit to major petrol  stations in Owo and situation report from Ikare Akoko, Akungba, Isua, Oka, Okeagbe, Ifon and other major towns in the Ondo North Senatorial  District revealed the same story.

However, BOVAS Petrol appeared to be the only dealer selling at the new price as it has effected it on its fuel meters.

Meanwhile, a transporter from Irun Akoko, Alhaj Sarumi Adebola has berated petrol dealers for their negative attitudes to reduction in pump price and as they are always eager to effect increase in pump price.

Sarumi called on dealers not to sabotage the effort of the Federal government in time like this.

Another driver from Oyin Akoko, Mr Terin Irewole said the efforts of president mohamed Buhari must be allowed to have effects on humanity and the generality of Nigerians.

Irewole therefore appealed to petrol dealers to hearken to the directive of the government and stop further punishing the ordinary man.
