Music superstar, Davido, has congratulated the people of his home Osun State over the victory of his uncle, Senator Ademola Adeleke, at the State Governorship Election Petition Tribunal.
He described the victory as the setting in of light.
He reacted in his twitter handle thus: “IMOLE TI DE !!!!!!! (meaning light has come) CONGRATULATIONS TO THE GREAT PEOPLE OF OSUN STATE!”
He has also posted the above picture showing him dancing with his uncle, who is fondly called the dancing senator.
Davido has been one of the most vocal celebrities about elections in Nigeria.
Adeleke had approached the tribunal after the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) declared Mr Gboyega Oyetola of the All Progressives Congress, APC winner of the September 2019 rerun following an earlier declaration of the original poll as inconclusive.
The tribunal sitting in Abuja on Friday declared Adeleke of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) as the winner of the 2018 governorship election in the state.
It held that the All Progressives Congress and its candidate, Gboyega Oyetola, were not validly returned.
