It is an error:

  • To be loaded and be stranded;
  • To have platform and not performing;
  • To be born with wings but choose to crawl;
  • To have keys but locked out of success;
  • To have a ship with sails but no wind;
  • To be a tree with fruits but no one to share; and
  • To have a voice but remain silent.

Basic things to learn from some of the biblical figures that their perseverance navigate today’s social, economic and political challenges with their struggles:

Joseph was betrayed by his brothers, to Slavery, False accusations,  and to Prison in Egypt. Despite these challenges, he persevered and used his God-given gifts to rise to leadership, ultimately saving many lives during famine. So, we need to Plan, stay faithful and Expect God’s favour and blessings, even in unexpected ways.

Moses confronted Pharaoh, managed a stubborn people, and faced personal doubts. Moses persevered and trusted in God’s Power ultimately leading the Israelites to Safety. Hence, we need to trust in God’s deliverance, and depend on Him in leadership (Humility).

Jeremiah encouraged himself while facing intense persecution and opposition for speaking God’s truth. He Persevered for the truth, was faithful and Obedient to God’s call.

On the Economic perspective, proactive measure can be taken by building strong network to support each other, continually develop new skills to stay adapted to dynamism and also by creating a long-term financial plan to achieve stability.

Government on the other hand can create a business-friendly environment to foster innovation and job creation. Investment on education and labour force development to enhance employability is equally important. Implement responsible fiscal policies to manage debt and deficits by the government and policy makers.
