Rural community stakeholders, development groups, and community associations across Osun State have commended Governor Ademola NlAdeleke for his remarkable achievements in grassroots and rural development.

The groups described the Adeleke-led administration as one that truly prioritizes inclusive growth and community participation.

The commendation was made during the Osun State Rural Community Town Hall Meetup, organized by the Office of the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Rural Development and Community Affairs, headed by Hon. Ajala Adetunji David, in partnership with the Indigenous Youth Forum.

The event, held at the Local Government Service Commission Hall, Abere, drew a large gathering of traditional leaders, artisans, market women, youth groups, government officials, and media representatives.

In his keynote address, the Commissioner for Rural Development and Community Affairs, Hon. (Chief) Abdulganiyu Olaoluwa, emphasized the importance of constant engagement between the government and rural communities. He noted that such interactions enable the state to assess the impact of its programs and obtain valuable feedback from the grassroots to guide future policies.

He assured participants that Governor Adeleke’s administration would continue to strengthen such engagements to ensure that no community is left behind in the state’s developmental drive.

Representing the Governor, the Commissioner for Political Affairs and Intergovernmental Relations, Dr. Biyi Odunlade, reaffirmed the administration’s unwavering commitment to rural transformation. He conveyed Governor Adeleke’s appreciation to stakeholders for their steadfast support and partnership in advancing his people-focused governance agenda.

A major highlight of the event was a panel discussion that reviewed the trajectory of rural development in Osun State—past, present, and future—while exploring sustainable strategies for community-driven progress. Speakers unanimously agreed that effective grassroots development depends on strong collaboration between the government, traditional institutions, and local community organizations.

The gathering also witnessed the inauguration of the Osun Grassroots Movement, a new platform designed to mobilize community structures in alignment with Governor Adeleke’s developmental vision for the state.

In recognition of outstanding contributions to the growth of Osun State, several commissioners and government officials were honored, including Otunba Tola Faseru, Dr. B.T. Salam, Hon. Dipo Eluwole, Hon. (Barr.) Jimi Oluwole Bada, SAN, Prof. Moruf Ademola Adeleke, and Oluomo Kolapo Alimi.

Notable dignitaries at the Town Hall included Hon. Dipo Eluwole (Commissioner for Education), Hon. (Barr.) Jimi Oluwole Bada, SAN (Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice), Aare Abdulganiyu Asejere (Commissioner for Rural Development and Community Affairs), the team of the wife of the Governor, Amb.
