While marking his Birthday today, Barrister Oseni strikingly wrote on his Facebook wall: “Every new year in my life has become a subtle reminder that I am a spirit in transition. I am grateful for the love that I have received and for the love that I have given. I am most grateful for the presence of God in my life. These are the only things that matter. Life is worth celebrating.”
I am happy for him that he is marking his Birthday with this wonderful recognition! A rare recognition which explains the difference, that is: the commendable level of maturity, the finesse, respect and consideration for others that he usually displays in his relationship with all human beings who cross his path.
In fact, in just five short sentences, he captures the essence of life on Earth, the main purpose of being here as human beings.
I am happy for him, and I congratulate him for having the highly significant recognition that he is a human “spirit in transition.” As every human being is.
This recognition is fundamental to understanding and fulfilling the purpose of an earth-life, which is different from the popular opinions that glorify bread and butter alone, and which dominate on Earth today.
He expresses deep heartfelt gratitude for the love he has received and given. This again summarises the purpose of an earth-life: Giving love that we have received from what streams unto us from the inexhaustible Table of the Lord, the Source of all life, of everything good. Standing dutifully as a a channel of love, joyfully and humbly passing on love unto our fellow human beings. And thereby receiving love in greater abundance.
Again, this recognition blends with the summary of the Commandments reportedly given by the Lord Jesus Christ: Love thy neighbour as thyself; and love the Lord thy God with thy whole being.
As he notes, these are the only things that matter; and life is worth celebrating. The Owner, Giver and Sustainer of life deserves gratitude for granting us the rare opportunity of an earth-life. Which we express strongly through living a life of Thanksgiving in the joy and happiness we share with our neighbours.
An earth-life lived in this way accords with the Natural Laws expressing the Holy Will of the Father. Such a human being would radiate joy. Definitely, he would be led to higher recognitions, to the extraordinary knowledge that would make him a better human being in accordance with the Will of the Father. And he would partake of, and be lavished with more wonderful blessings of His streaming through His Creation.
This Earth could have been a Paradise if we come to these recognitions, and are guided by them in all our thoughts, words and deeds, that we are human spirits in transition. To receive and give love. And seek better understanding of the Natural Laws governing Creation, Which indeed express the Will of the Father. In the Word. That we are here temporarily to be blessings, to spread honey but not sorrow, happiness but not suffering, light but not darkness, and to beautify the Earth with our ennobling deeds.
And then move on, and then transit, joyfully at the end of our earth-life, to continue living in another finer body, in another finer realm, lovingly giving joy and receiving joy as if in a luminous ocean of Bliss! As we move on jubilantly upwards towards the Light, towards the Luminous Kingdom of the Most High and Almighty Father, our ever loving Creator, Lord and God.
