At last, President Muhammadu Buhari would make a nationwide broadcast by 7pm this evening, according to the State House.
A statement by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Mr Femi Adesina, said: “President Muhammadu Buhari will broadcast to the nation Sunday, March 29, 2020 at 7pm.
“Television, radio and other electronic media outlets are enjoined to hook up to the network services of the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) and Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN) respectively for the broadcast”,
Nigerians have clamoured for a broadcast by Buhari over the raging coronavirus pandemic. His minders said Buhari’s style was to work and not to make a broadcast.
However, it is unclear why he has made a U-turn.
