President Muhammadu Buhari has asked the Senate to confirm the appointment of Major General Farouk Yahaya, as the Chief of Army Staff.
Buhari, in a letter to the President of the Senate, urged the federal lawmakers to treat his request, expeditiously.
Yahaya replaces Gen Ibrahim Attahiru, who along with 11 others, died recently in a plane crash.
