The ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has thanked Kano State Governor, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, for his support to the party’s delegation during the departed President Muhammadu Buhari’s burial.
It said in a letter titled “Letter of Appreciation” and signed by its National Secretary, Senator Ajibola Basiru, in Osogbo, the party noted Yusuf’s assistance following the disruption of the delegation’s travel plans.
The party said the delegation, led by the Acting National Chairman, was forced to divert its chartered flight to the Aminu Kano International Airport in Kano due to air traffic congestion at the Katsina Airport.
“Your Excellency’s prompt and gracious intervention through the provision of vehicles and a security escort to facilitate the delegation’s onward journey to Daura, Katsina State, without any prior solicitation, reflects your exemplary leadership, political maturity, and commitment to peaceful coexistence.
“We sincerely appreciate this remarkable gesture, which will remain etched in our hearts,” the party said.
