The Chairman of Ayedire Local Government Area in Osun State, Otunba Adeboye Mukaila Oladejo has felicitated with Muslims across the state and the council in particular on the occasion of the 2020 Eid-Ul-Adha celebration.
In his special message commemorating the festival with his people, he advised them to observe all the fundamental safety measures while counseling that the COVID-19 affliction ravaging the whole world is real.
Noting that the dreaded pandemic has taken the usual shine off the festival, yet he expressed deep gratitude to the Almighty Allah for His embracing Compassion, Protection and Guidance over his people and all human beings who witness the celebration.
Oladejo said that “Ileya is a very unique, special and memorable Islamic festival that brings together families, friends and relations from far and wide, aside numerous spiritual and abundant mercy that is embedded in it.
“I join our Muslim brothers and sisters to thank Almighty Allah for the opportunity to witness it again this year with good health and visible happiness.
“I associate with my good people of Ayedire Local Government and Osun State in general over the corona virus pandemic which has made this year’s celebration less with funfair; yet, we give glory to God for His guidance over all of us that witness this celebration. Corona virus is real, let us observe all the fundamental safety measures.”
