Thrilled by the reconciliation of Ondo State Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa with a foremost former governorship aspirant of the party, Chief Olusola Oke, SAN, the All Progressives Congress, APC., has recalled all it’s suspended members in the state.
Announcing the recall, the party’s state chairman, Engnr Ade Adetimehin described the reconciliation as the greatest achievement recorded so far in the history of the party and for the progress of the state ahead of the 2024 Governorship election.
Ayedatiwa and Oke, who both come from the same Ilaje Local Government Area, fell apart over the party’s primary that produced the governor as its flagbearer in the coming Governorship election.
Adetimehin spoke in Akure during a meeting with the executive members of Online Media Professionals, OMP, in the state.
He expressed gratitude to the people of the state for their support.
Adetimehin praised Oke for his maturity and composure, a gallant move he believed would solidify and unify the party.
He added that Oke being a party man has displayed genuine love for the party’s victory and the collapse of structure was all for the progress of the party.
The chairman assured Oke’s supporters of an unbiased treatment saying they are all APC members.
He appealed to other aggrieved party members and aspirants not to move to other partoes but remain in APC and emulate Oke.
On the suspended members of the party, Adetimehin said their recall took an immediate effect.
He urged them to shun anti-party activities and join forces in moving the party forward especially as they prepare for the coming governorship election.
Adetimehin assured people of the state that the APC administration is ready to tackle the challenges facing the state and country at large.
