Executives of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ward 01, Ibokun, Obokun Local Government Area of Osun State, have suspended a former member of the State House of Assembly, Hon. Bosun Oyintiloye, over alleged gross misconduct.

His suspension was contained in a letter dated January 29, 2026, and jointly signed by 18 ward executives and five ward leaders. The letter was addressed to the party’s State Chairman, Sooko Tajudeen Lawal.

The party accused Oyintiloye of unlawfully taking over the Executive Assistant (EA) slot meant for ward leaders, alongside funds amounting to N5.6 million allegedly attached to the position.

The ward executives further alleged that the former lawmaker had already secured a personal EA slot through a third party while simultaneously holding a federal appointment, describing the action as unethical and contrary to party norms.

They also accused him of engaging in divisive activities capable of destabilising the ward, including alleged organisation and conduct of factional meetings without the approval of recognised ward leadership.

In addition, they cited his alleged prolonged absence from ward meetings and political activities for over three years as part of the reasons for the disciplinary action.

According to the letter, “We, the Executives and Leaders of Ward One, Ibokun, convened today in the presence of ward members to deliberate on persistent issues affecting the unity, stability, and progress of our ward.

“Following the earlier report of gross misconduct against Hon. Bosun Oyintiloye, which was duly submitted to and acknowledged by the State Party Administration, particularly on the issue of unauthorised takeover of the Executive Assistant (EA) slot and accompanying funds amounting to N5.6 million originally designated for ward leaders, we resolved to take decisive action.”

The ward leaders said the decision to suspend the former lawmaker was taken to preserve unity, discipline, and the integrity of the party at the grassroots level.

They urged the state leadership of the APC to urgently intervene and uphold the resolution in the interest of peace and cohesion within the party.
