Candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, for Irele/Okitipupa Federal Constituency in the 2023 National Assembly Election, Prince Jimi Odimayo, has preached peace, love and tranquility among Muslims and other Nigerians during the celebration of this year’s Eid-el-Kabir and beyond.
He made the plead in his Sallah Massage to all Islamic followers, Imams and Alfas in his Constituency, Ondo State and across the country as Muslims celebrate the Ileya Festival according to the teaching of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
Odimayo said that Nigeria needs peace in view of the worsening insecurity and economy crisis, appealing that Nigerians must come together strongly to rescue the land of their birth, disregarding their political, religious and ethnic differences.
According to the statement, which he signed: “Ileya festival connotes the highest degree of perseverance and sacrificing for Almighty Allah and humanity, when all Muslims must use the Eld-el-Kabir celebration to pray fervently for peaceful coexistence and economic prosperity of our dear Nation, Nigeria.
“As Islamic faithful and lovers of God, we must at all times, endeavor to make peace with our brothers and sisters, neighbors, fellow Nigerians and humanity at large as Eid-el-Kabir symbolizes great love, sacrifice and faith to make the world a better place to live in.
“We must also put the forthcoming 2023 General Elections into prayers at our various praying grounds, urging Him to lead us through peaceful, free and fair polls that will jump start our Nation’s era of peace, economy boom and abundance.
“As we celebrate, we must take into consideration, our safety and security at all places of worshi and entertainment arenas; be moderate in all our activities as we visit various places of interest to celebrate the most important festival.
“May Almighty Allah accepts the prayers of His faithful with multiple blessings in returns.”
