The All Progressives Congress, APC, has congratulated Ondo State Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa on the tribunal verdict upholding his victory in last years November 16 election.
In a statement by Mr. Steve Otaloro, its Director, Media & Publicity in the state, the party also congratulated the state’s people on the victory it said was significant for democracy and the rule of law in Nigeria.
According to the statement, “We also take this opportunity to felicitate Governor Aiyedatiwa on this momentous verdict, which serves as a beacon of hope for the entrenchment of democratic principles and the assurance that the votes of the electorate will continue to count.
This ruling demonstrates that political parties cannot undermine the people’s mandate through judicial means if they fail to earn it at the polls.
As we celebrate this victory, we urge Governor Aiyedatiwa to redouble his efforts in delivering the democratic dividends promised to the people of Ondo State.
The trust the citizens have placed in his leadership is evident in the overwhelming support he received during the November 16, 2024 governorship election.
