The All Progressives Congress, APC, has adopted the indirect mode of primary election for Ondo State.
It also started the screening of its 12 governorship aspirants at an undisclosed hotel in Utako, in Abuja on Wednesday.
The party’s primary for the October 10 governorship election is slated for July 20.
The Governor Mai Mala Buni- led Caretaker Committee, according to The Nation, resolved to stick to the mode of primary earlier adopted by the Adams Oshiomhole-led National Working Committee, NWC.
Five of the 12 aspirants including Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, Ambassador Joseph Olusola Iji; Chief Odimayo Okunjimi; Chief Olayide Owolabi Adelaml; Mr Duerimini Issacs Kekemeke and Chief Olusola Oke were screened on Wednsday.
The screening continues tomorrow.
