An eye for an eye

“I have a problem; life seems tough. But I am neither the cause nor part of the solution. My enemy is the cause. ……. Yes, my enemy!

I lay curses on him! The law of sowing and reaping applies to my enemy for being the root of problem. But the same law does not apply to me when I lay curses on him, send fire and thunder, and wish him everything and anything evil.\”

This is a typical scenario….

Could it be that one is free from the consequences of laying curses on others in the self righteous notion that one is justified? Are we any better than those we curse. Isn\’t it possible that some people in our circle of influence perceive us as their enemy and serve us the same dose of negatives?

Indeed, Mahatma Gandhi was right in saying, *\”an eye for an eye only ends up making the whole world blind\”*

Who is the example we are really following? Certainly not Jesus Christ!
