Nigeria’s former Envoy to Togo and a top contender for the seat of Ondo South Senatorial District in the Senate, Ambassador Sola Iji, has congratulated the National Leader of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, on his 70th birthday.

In a congratulatory message signed by the Director General of the Ambassador Sola Iji Campaign Organisation (ASICO), Onibudo ‘Wole Iroaye, Iji, “the leading APC Ondo South Senatorial District aspirant, expressed deep appreciation to the Lord for the life of this remarkable leader who has made tremendous contributions to the political development of our dear Country, Nigeria, and particularly Lagos State which he turned to Nigeria’s most prosperous state.”

The message said: “He notes specifically Tinubu’s brilliant records of performance in office as the Governor of Lagos State, which he has turned to an economic miracle and a shining model for other states in the country to follow.

“He also acknowledges his heroic services and commitment to the tortuous pro-democracy struggles that midwifed the present dispensation as well as being a political leader of note in the progressive ideological camp cutting through the days of the SDP, AD, AC, ACN and now APC, which is the largest party in Africa, and where he now serves as the National Leader; and even in the private sector, where he had also performed excellently before he veered into politics.

“Ambassador Iji, according to Iroaye, said: “Of special note is that this political giant, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, who is having uncommon rich experiences in administration, governance and politics, is indeed a rare blessing, who has deployed his talents and abilities fully to the selfless service of our Great Country, Nigeria.

“Wholeheartedly, I wish our illustrious Asiwaju Tinubu, a leader of leaders, Happy Celebrations on his Birthday, Divine Guidance and Protection now and in the years ahead; and pray that the Good Lord grants him more earthly years in good health and prosperity to continue being a blessing to our Great Country, Nigeria!”
