“The leaders resolved to strategically position a qualified indigene of Akure for the next governorship election of Ondo State after the tenure of Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa and to work collectively towards achieving victory,” the communiqué stated.
In addition to the governorship position, the leaders endorsed Hon. Oluwafemi Fadairo (Fada) for the Akure North/Akure South Federal House of Representatives seat, and Hon. Adeola Rosemary Fynch, a former Director of Administration to the Senate, for the Ondo State House of Assembly, Akure South Constituency I.
They said the endorsements were based on the aspirants’ loyalty to the party, strong grassroots connection and perceived capacity to effectively represent the people.
The stakeholders rejected the idea of automatic tickets, insisting that only credible and widely acceptable aspirants should emerge to represent the APC, particularly in Akure and its environs, in the forthcoming general elections.
The leaders commended President Tinubu’s leadership, describing his administration as visionary and reform-driven, and noted that his policies are repositioning Nigeria for economic recovery and sustainable growth.
They also credited the President for facilitating key development projects in Akure and its environs, including the upgrade of the State Specialists Hospital to the Federal University of Technology Akure Teaching Hospital, ongoing road infrastructure projects, and the approval of an aviation college campus in Akure.

They lauded the governor for the successful conduct of APC congresses at the ward, local government and state levels, noting that the exercise strengthened unity and internal democracy within the party.
Reiterating their support for the current administration in Ondo State, the leaders pledged continued cooperation to ensure sustained development and good governance.
They urged party members to remain united and committed to the ideals of the APC, warning against divisive tendencies and internal sabotage capable of undermining the party’s cohesion.
