Ondo State chapter of the All Progressives Congress, APC, has commended Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa for what it described as his commitment to governance and clear sense of purpose in repositioning the state for sustainable economic growth.
A statement by the party’s state Director of Media and Publicity, Mr Steve Otaloro, said the governor’s performance within less than one year of his election as governor, was impressive.
Reeling out Aiyedatiwa’s achievements, the statement said:
“Foremost among these achievements is the successful reclamation and Federal Executive Council (FEC) approval of the Ondo Deep Seaport project, a landmark intervention that had suffered years of procedural setbacks.
“Through focused leadership, strategic engagement with federal institutions, and strict compliance with regulatory requirements, Governor Aiyedatiwa restored the project to viability, setting the stage for massive investment, job creation, and industrial expansion in Ondo State.
“Beyond the seaport, the Governor has demonstrated uncommon work ethic and vision through deliberate actions aimed at transforming Ondo State’s economy.
“His administration has prioritised industrial development, strengthened investor confidence, advanced strategic road infrastructure across the three Senatorial District, and laid the groundwork for petrochemical, energy, fertilizer and Free Trade Zone initiatives designed to stimulate long-term growth.
“Governor Aiyedatiwa has also distinguished himself by promoting inclusive governance, particularly through the appointment of qualified women and technocrats into key positions, reinforcing competence, continuity, and stability in public administration.
“His consultative leadership style and openness to expert advice have continued to yield tangible results across critical sectors.
“As Ondo State approaches its 50th anniversary, the APC is confident that Governor Aiyedatiwa’s early strides reflect a leader building durable foundations for prosperity rather than chasing short-term optics.
“His performance within this short period affirms that Ondo State is firmly on the path to economic relevance and industrial renewal.
