Police Inspector General, IGP Alkali Baba Usman, has again brought succor to another set of widows of policemen in Ondo State Command.
This came on the heels of his gesture few months ago when he donated N35 million to a set of policemen widows in the State.
A statement by the police spokeswoman in the state, SP Funmilayo Odunlami, said the state’s Commissioner of Police, CP Oyeyemi Adesoye Oyediran, presented the cheques to the beneficiaries on behalf of the IGP at the State Police Headquarters on Igbatoro Road in Akure, the state capital.
She said that the CP “advised beneficiaries to invest in viable businesses/ projects that will yield more benefits to improve their means of livelihood.”
According to her: “The families’ of the late Officers appreciated the magnanimity of the Inspector-General of Police in fulfilling his promises of improving the welfare of families of fallen heroes in the Police and promised to put the money in to good use and be resourceful with it.”
