The All Progressives Congress (APC) In Ondo State on Saturday, elected new leaders who will be in charge of the affairs of the party for the next four years.
The new party leaders emerged at a peaceful congress held at the International Cultural and Event Centre (DOME) in Akure, the state capital.
The congress was conducted by the Hon. Matthew Omegara led committee. The committee was duly seconded to Ondo state from the APC secretariat in Abuja to conduct the exercise.
The congress started with accreditation of delegates from across the 203 wards and 18 local government areas of the state .
Men of the Nigeria Police Force, the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, operatives of the State Security Service (SSS) as well as officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) were at the center and monitored the exercise.
Former acting Chairman of the party, Engr. Ade Adetimehin emerged the elected chairman after polling an overwhelming votes.

Adesua Omodara Okafor , Vice Chairman (North), Solomon Elefola , Vice Chairman (Central) , Otunba Rasaq Ishola Isijola , Vice Chairman (South), Dr Deji Oyedele , Legal Adviser, Benson Aderosin Esq and Ass. Legal Adviser , Henry Akingbesote Esq

Chairman of the APC congress committee, Hon. Omegara appreciated the delegates and other stakeholders for allowing a peaceful exercise to take place.
He said the committee has conducted the congress in line with the guidelines of the party, adding that all laid down rules have been followed.
Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, SAN, who also voted as a statutory delegate at the congress congratulated the new party leaders.
