The Digital Media Chapel of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ, in Ondo State has described the appointment of the chief executive and publisher of TRACE News Magazine, Prince Ebenezer Adeniyan as strategic to the political communication of the administration of Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa.

In a congratulatory message on Wednesday under the banner of Ondo State Online Media Practitioners, OMP, signed by its Chairman, Hakeem Adebumiti and Secretary, Temitope Adedeji, it expressed confidence in Adeniyan’s ability, “considering his wealth of experience, which we know he will bring to bear as he discharges his duty.”

It said: “The executive and members of Ondo State Online Media Professionals (OMP) felicitate the Publisher of Trace Magazine, Prince Ebenezer Adeniyan on his appointment as Chief Press Secretary (CPS) by the Governor of Ondo State, Hon Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa.”

While rejoicing with Adeniyan on the appointment, it said: “OMP recalls Mr Ebenezer’s journey as a young reporter from his days at Hope Newspaper to Sunshine Daily Watch, and to becoming an owner of a news magazine, which has consistently dotted our newsstands in the last 13 years, as a notable milestone, hence his recent appointment as CPS is worthwhile.

“OMP therefore wishes to express our confidence in the capability of Prince Adeniyan, considering his wealth of experience, which we know he will bring to bear as he discharges his duty.”

Also, the group congratulated the new special assistant on New Media to the Governor, Mr Sunday Olugbenga Abire
Mr Abire, on his appointment.

It described Abire, who until his appointment worked with Hon. Ade Adeogun as a media aide, as “an accomplished media scholar from the prestigious University of Benin, and we believe he will bring that to the office.”
