Eminent Nigerians including Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke, his five other brother counterparts in the region, ministers, billionaire businessmen Femi Otedola, and Aliko Dangote are billed for Ilesa, on May 23 for the coronation of the new Owa Obokun Adimula and Paramount Ruler of Ijesaland, Oba Clement Adesuyi Haastrup, Ajimoko III,
A statement by the Chairman, Media and Publicity Sub-commitee of the coronation, Chief Shola Oshunkeye, FNGE said the dignitaries among others had confirmed they would attend the epochal event.
According to the statement, the business world, which the former Osun state Deputy Governor, Owa Haastrup traverses like a colossus, is also gearing up to put up a solid presence at the event.
In Oshunkeye’s words, “Among the business czars who have confirmed their attendance are Chairman of the Dangote Group, and Africa’s richest man, Aliko Dangote; and Mr. Femi Otedola, billionaire businessman who made his first fortune in commodities before selling his shares in Forte Oil to invest in the energy sector of the economy.
“The Vice Chairman of the Coronation Committee, and the Ajirowa of Ijesaland, High Chief Lateef Bakare, revealed these while giving update on the state of preparedness for the big event.”
He said that Ijesaland is set to receive the world for the historic moment.
“We are ready,” the Ajirowa declared.
He said, “We are doing everything humanly possible to ensure that all our guests enjoy the best of Ijesa hospitality.
“We will not disappoint our governor. We shall not disappoint Nigerians, and the world. We will have a spectacular coronation ceremony by the grace of God.”
