Contrary to reports, Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke is not decamping from the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.
In a statement on Thursday by his spokesman, Mallam Olawale Rasheed, the governor dismissed as false a report of his alleged plan to join the African Democratic Congress (ADC).
The statement described the claim credited to the Osun State Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) as a fabrication intended to mislead the public.
It said, “Our attention has been drawn to a statement credited to the Osun State APC chairman, alleging that Governor Ademola Adeleke is negotiating with former Governor Rauf Aregbesola about joining the African Democratic Congress (ADC).
“The report is completely false, and the entire assertions by the opposition are mere fabrications and fake news.
“Governor Adeleke is not negotiating with former Governor Aregbesola about ADC, and he has no plan whatsoever to join the party.”
Rasheed urged members of the public to disregard what he described as “fake news from the pit of hell,” emphasizing that his principal remains focused on delivering good governance and fulfilling his electoral promises on the banner of the PDP.
