Adeleke Mourns Osun State Correspondents Chapel Chairman’s Father

Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke has expressed condolences over the passing of Sheikh Musa Olohunlogaju Abubakar, father of the Chairman of the state’s Correspondents Chapel, Mr. Shina Abubakar.

In his message, he described the departed cleric as a devoted Islamic scholar whose teachings guided many on the path of Allah and fostered peace and harmony within the community. He noted that Sheikh Abubakar’s life was defined by spiritual dedication, moral discipline, and impactful engagements that strengthened the Muslim Ummah.

Represented by a delegation led by his Spokesperson, Mallam Olawale Rasheed, the governor visited the family residence in Osogbo to offer his sympathies. He extolled the virtues of the late scholar, emphasizing his significant contributions to the growth of Islamic faith through exemplary conduct and purposeful guidance.

Conveying the Governor’s condolences, Mallam Rasheed urged the bereaved family and all those influenced by Sheikh Abubakar’s teachings to uphold his legacy of service, community building, and unwavering faith.

“It is with a heavy heart that I commiserate with the Chairman of the Osun State Correspondents Chapel, Mr. Shina Abubakar, over the passing of his beloved father, Sheikh Musa Olohunlogaju Abubakar. Sheikh Abubakar enriched lives and shaped destinies through his teachings,” Governor Adeleke said.

“As a government, we stand with the immediate family and the entire Muslim community in mourning this great loss. Sheikh Abubakar not only inspired many scholars and thinkers but also promoted religious harmony across communities.”

Governor Adeleke prayed for the peaceful repose of the late cleric’s soul, urging family members, students, and followers to find strength in the enduring impact of his life’s work.

“May Allah grant Sheikh Musa Olohunlogaju Abubakar eternal rest in Aljanah Firdaus,” he offered in prayer.
