Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke has expressed deep sorrow over the death of Assistant Comptroller-General of Immigration, Mr. Dada Joseph Olutayo, describing his passing as a monumental loss to both the state and the nation.
In a condolence message issued by his spokesperson, Mallam Olawale Rasheed, he paid tribute to Dada’s sterling contributions to national security and the Nigeria Immigration Service, noting that his dedication and patriotism were exemplary.
His words, “I am deeply saddened by the news of the passing of Mr. Dada Joseph Olutayo.
“He was a highly committed officer whose work significantly contributed to the safety and security of our national borders. His sudden departure is not only a loss to his family but also to Osun State and Nigeria at large.”
Adeleke extended heartfelt condolences to the immediate family of the deceased, the Michael Dada Ogunremi family of Ilesa, and the entire Nigeria Immigration Service, noting that Mr. Dada’s life was one of impact and purpose.
“As painful as his departure is, we take solace in the remarkable legacy he leaves behind — a legacy of commitment, patriotism, and outstanding service to the country.
“It is my sincere hope that his good works and example will continue to inspire others in public service.”
Adeleke prayed for the peaceful repose of Dada’s soul and asked God to grant his family, colleagues, and loved ones the strength to bear the loss.
