Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke has felicitated with the board, management and staff of the Nigerian NewsDirect on its 15th years anniversary, hailing the organisation’s pronounced contributions to media evolution and driving excellence.
He commended the vision of the departed founder, Prince Dr. Samuel Folorunsho Ibiyemi, noting that the medium has grown to become not just a trusted source of information for an average Nigerian, but also a platform that amplifies the voice of the voiceless.
Also, he hailed the growth of the medium to a media conglomerate in the space of 15 years as a mark of faith that Nigeria placed on it, urging it to sustain standard and remain unwavering in its dedication to factual reporting and responsible journalism.
He said, “I celebrate the Nigerian NewsDirect on marking its 15th year anniversary. From its founder, Prince Dr. Samuel Folorunsho Ibiyemi to the current Publisher and Executive Director, Prince Mathew Adeogun Ibiyemi, the Nigerian NewsDirect is guided by the goal of truthfully informing Nigerians and championing healthy engagements.
“As much as this milestone marks a proud chapter for Nigerian NewsDirect, it also provides a challenge for it to sustain standards that endeared it to many and remain committed to using its platform as a catalyst to drive meaningful progress in our society and beyond.”
Adeleke noted his abiding respect for the medium and urged it to continue to lead the way in defending our democracy by ensuring accurate reportage and highlighting the voice of the ordinary Nigerian.
