Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke has empowered another 2,000 residents through the Imole Osun Cash Grant/Empowerment Scheme 2.0.

The beneficiaries, mostly women, youths, and small business owners, received direct financial support to expand their enterprises, marking another milestone in the Adeleke administration’s efforts to make governance people-centered and impactful at the grassroots.

Represented by the Commissioner for Commerce and Industries, Rev. Bunmi Jenyo, the governor reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to inclusive governance, describing the initiative as “another bold statement of our commitment to empowering our people, uplifting households, and strengthening the economic base of our dear state.”

He said, “Our administration is not about empty promises or deceit,” the Governor declared through his representative. “We deliver, we empower, and we transform lives. This scheme is about creating wealth, generating jobs, and fostering prosperity for our people.”

According to him, under Adeleke’s leadership, the Ministry of Cooperatives and Empowerment has recorded several achievements, including hosting the first-ever Osun State Cooperative Summit and expanding the Cooperative Revolving Loan from ₦1 billion to ₦3.45 billion.

Other notable initiatives include a Food Bank Programme in partnership with Fidelity Bank Plc which has reached over 3,000 residents—upgrading the Senator Isiaka Adetunji Adeleke College of Cooperative Studies, Ode-Omu, to a UNIOSUN campus, and empowering People Living with Disabilities (PWDs) in collaboration with Project Enable Africa.

Commissioner for Cooperatives and Empowerment, Prince Bayo Ogungbangbe (FCSSM), described the event as “a landmark in Osun’s empowerment journey.”

He praised Adeleke for his visionary leadership, adding that the Imole initiative goes beyond cash distribution to promote sustainable livelihoods.

“This is a testimony to this administration’s dedication to sustainable development, youth empowerment, women’s inclusion, and equitable growth across Osun State,” Ogungbangbe said.

He urged the beneficiaries to use the grants responsibly, emphasizing that each success story would strengthen the Imole vision of shared prosperity and collective progress.

As the crowd cheered and beneficiaries expressed joy over the life-changing support, one message echoed through the venue — the light of “Imole De” continues to shine brighter across Osun State.
