In a move to strengthen its grassroots base across the country, the African Democratic Congress (ADC) has commenced a 90-day nationwide Membership Mobilisation, Revalidation and Registration (MMRR) exercise.
Besides, vthe party has approved provisional dates for its congresses and the election of delegates at the polling unit, ward and local government levels across the country.
A circular issued by the party’s National Secretary, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, said the congresses will hold between January 20 and January 27, 2026.
The process will culminate in a Non-Elective National Convention slated for February 2026 in Abuja.
The party disclosed that the decisions were reached at its National Working Committee (NWC) meeting held on November 27, 2025, in line with the provisions of the ADC Constitution.
In a statement issued on Saturday by the National Publicity Secretary, Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi, the ADC said the nationwide mobilisation exercise is aimed at expanding party membership, updating its register, and repositioning the party for effective participation in future elections.
Abdullahi noted that the planned congresses would provide an opportunity for party members to democratically elect delegates who will represent them at higher levels, adding that the process is expected to strengthen internal democracy and party cohesion.
He assured members and stakeholders that the party would conduct the registration and congresses transparently and in accordance with its guiding principles.
With these developments, the ADC signaled its readiness to deepen grassroots engagement and consolidate its organisational structure nationwide ahead of the 2026 Non-Elective National Convention.
