Continuing from yesterday…
Let me discuss another example. Several people are today addicted to their phones and ended up NOT having time for their quiet-time or reading their Bible, when there would have been many versions of the same Bible on their phone for their edification.
If comfort were to be positively engaged, our access to different versions of the Bible on our phones should enhance our personal study, spiritual development and meditation. People were doing better reading the Bible and observing their quiet time in the past when there were no smart phones than now.
Devotion time has suffered greatly in the hands of people who are severely engaged in surfing the different online platforms to catch up on news, information, and the likes, while service or devotion is ongoing.
I want to tell you that some people are dead because they answered their mobile phones while driving. Yes, they got distracted and the unthinkable happened thereby. Needless to say that such people might still be alive today but for the distraction and the subsequent accident.
Were mobile phones designed to cause accidents? The answer is no. But that is one of the things comfort can attract when it is misused.
I think it is important that there be a collection of challenges of comfort to the unweary and uncareful fellow that may be out there.
Please pay attention to the following as challenges that the comfortable may face if the fellow is unguarded.
1) Comfort may end up becoming a needless distraction for some in the process of managing their lives forward and the attendant responsibilities and duties that appertain to such.
To be concluded tomorrow, God willing.
Top of the day to you
