Ondo State Deputy Governor, Dr Olayide Adelami, Interior Minister, Hon Olubunmi Tunji Ojo and the National Vice Chairman, Southwest of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Hon. Duerimini Isaac Kekemeke have condoled the family, Government and people of Ondo State over the passage of the Secretary to the State Government, Hon Temitayo Oluwatuyi.
The politician popularly called Tukana, died on Saturday according to the state government.
In a condolence message he signed, Adelami wrote: “The news of the demise of Hon. Temitayo Oluseye Oluwatuyi, popularly called Tuykana, came to me as a rude shock.
“Hon. Oluwatuyi, my dear brother, who I used to call ‘the homeboy’, was an SSG with class, a rare breed of politician — very accommodating, calm, intelligent, meticulous, and truly committed to the upliftment of his people and the development of our dear state.
His passing is a very painful one that will leave its scars in the hearts of many of us for so long but we are consoled by his life of impact and purpose.
I commiserate with our dear governor, His Excellency, Dr Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, government and people of Ondo state on this unfortunate incident.
It is my prayer that the good Lord will grant his dear wife, Aderoju, children, the entire Oluwatuyi family of Akure, and the Akure people the fortitude to bear this irreplaceable loss, and strength to march on with his legacies of good leadership.”
Also, Tunji-Ojo, in a statement by his SA Media and Publicity, Babatunde Alao, said Oluwatuyi’s death has left a devastating blow to the state’s political landscape.
He described the late deceased as a leader who loved his people and showed unmatched leadership qualities every time he was entrusted with public office.
“Honorable Temitayo Oluwatuyi was a progressive with unparalleled wit and competence,” Tunji-Ojo says. He pursued only a pro-people agenda and never stepped away from that path until his death.
“Tuykana, as he was popularly called, was one of our best in Ondo state with many uninterrupted years of service to our people. His loss is fatal to the progress of our state at a time we needed him the most.
“We take solace in the fulfilled life he lived, and we commiserate with his immediate family, and His Excellency, the Governor of Ondo State, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, as well as the entire state government on the loss of a truly dedicated public servant.”
Tunji-Ojo also extends his condolences to the people of Akure kingdom on this unexpected loss.
“May the Almighty accept his soul and give the bereaved family the grace to bear this irreparable loss,” he prays.

He commiserated with the Governor of Ondo state, Lucky Ayedatiwa and the entire government.
