Adelegbe announces N20m support for APC candidates in Owo/Ose federal constituency in coming LG poll

The House of Representatives member representing Owo/Ose Federal Constituency, Hon. (Dr) Timehin Adelegbe has announced a N20 million support for the campaign and other logistics of all the All Progressives Congress, APC candidates in the constituency for the coming local government election.

A statement by his spokesman, Mr Sola Obagbemisoye, said that the lawmaker announced the donation on Tuesday during his meeting with the federal cconstituency’s chairmanship and councillorship candidates in the incoming council election.

According to the statement, the gesture is part of the Adelegbe’ s ongoing efforts to reposition the constituency better than he met it.

The statement said: “This is evident in the series of billions of Naira mega empowerment programmes, landmark projects and financial assistance he has been rendering to his constituents in the last five and half years.”

Also at the meeting, Adelegbe promised to continue building more lasting legacies that will be difficult to forget in a hurry.

According to him, “Despite my monumental achievements in the areas of physical infrastructure across the two council areas, I will soon commence the foundation laying of Owo and Ifon township stadia, Ipele town hall, Usuada town hall, Completion of Ute road, renovation of Amadiya Secondary School Owo, Irekari Grammar School Idoani, and borehole at Ogbomo in Owo among others”.

The statement said: “In addition to the above, the federal lawmaker, Otunba Adelegbe announced the sum of N20m as a support for the campaign and other logistics for all the APC candidates in the coming local government election He appealed to the candidates not to misuse the opportunities given to them by the party.

Responding on behalf of candidates from Ose, the Chairmanship candidate, Bar. C.K. Ojo thanked the lawmaker for the gesture saying the act of giving is a divine gift adding that Adelegbe had shown enough capacity to be a true leader.

Also responding, the Chairmanship candidate from Owo, Elder Tope Omolayo who described Adelegbe as humble, honest, loyal and faithful said the lawmaker is leaving big shoes that may be difficult for others to wear.

The two Chairmanship candidates, their running mates and all the 23 Councillorship candidates were full of thanks for Adelegbe as they showered encomiums on him for being a trail blazer in Owo/Ose Federal constituency, judging from what they described as his monumental achievements.

In attendance at the meeting/dinner were Hon. Olushola Oluyede, former MHA and SSA to the Ondo State Givernor, Engr. Babatunde Gbalajobi, Hon. Omolade Bobade SLA to the MHR, Hon. Olaposi Asojo, Mr. Bolorunduro Olugbenga Stanley, SLA to the MHR, Mr. Yusuf MJ , Elder Duyile and Hon. Olaniyi Eni-Olotu, SA to the Governor among others.
