Osun PDP rallies members for stronger party

The Chairman of the ruling Peoples Democratic Party, PDP,, in Osun State, Hon Sunday Bisi has enjoined political functionaries in the party to do everything within their reach to represent the party well in their respective constituencies.

Also, he charged them to remain good ambassadors of the administration of the Governor and leader of the party, Ademola Adeleke.

He stated this at the interactive tour of party structures in the state, which according to him, was in line with the ideals of the party where people at the grassroots are effectively carried along in the activities of the party and especially that of the PDP administration in the state.

The tour, which began on Monday in Irewole, Isokan, and Ayedaade local governments, will allow the state working committee of the ruling party to listen and aggregate opinions of critical stakeholders, to consolidate on the party’s successes in recent times and address possible grey areas.

The deputy minority leader of the Senate representing Osun West senatorial District, Senator Kamarudeen Olalere Oyewumi led other government functionaries, including local government caretaker committee chairmen in the area, to report their stewardship in office so far.

They all pledged to remain steadfast in complementing the concerted efforts of the state governor in rejigging the state’s economy through people-oriented policies and programs.

Bisi particularly applauded Senator Oyewumi for living true to his reputation as a core grassroots politician by finding time to make the gathering out of his very tight schedules at the National Assembly, asking others in the state to emulate him in strengthening the bond between the party and the electorate.

The chairman assured stakeholders of the party to ensure judicious assessments of their views, not just for the good of the party but also that of the good people of Osun State.

The tour is expected to continue with other area councils of the state.
