An Akure-based cleric, Prophet Segun Akintoye, has said that Ondo State, and particularly Akoko North East/North West Federal Constituency needs idealism and determination.
He said this in a congratulatory message to Hon Bunmi Tunji-Ojo, who represents Akoko North East/North West Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, for winning reelection into the House in the February 25 National Assembly Election.
Akintoye, who is the National Coordinator of the Divine Redemption of Our Nation Group, described Tunji-Ojo, popularly called BTO, as “a man of the people and leader extraordinaire”.
According to him: “Despite the challenges of the past years, your unwavering leadership qualities have made today a reality.
“There is no doubt about it, that our State and particularly your Federal Constituency need idealism and determination. This is what you truly represent.
“Your giant strides in turning around the fortunes of numerous youths as well as people of your Constituency in your previous shots candidly speak for you.
“You have worked so hard to achieve this, and Our Grand Creator has chosen to crown your efforts. This is a notice taken by society, because of their recognition of your immense contributions to politics and humanity.
“Once again, I heartily congratulate you, and please keep being awesome and I shall keep congratulating you.”
Tunji-Ojo has made history by being the first incumbent federal lawmaker from the area to win reelection.
He won his reelection with 51,532 votes, representing over 84 percent of the total votes cast, while the PDP candidate got 9,014 votes representing 14.8 percent of the total votes cast.
