Elders in Ondo State celebrated the maiden edition of the National Senior Citizens’ Day at the Recreation Club, Oke Eda, Akure, the state’s capital, on Wednesday, September 5, 2022.

The occasion, which was coordinated by the state’s Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development, held under the auspices of the National Senior Citizens Committee, NSCC, Ondo State Stakeholders Consultative Forum on Ageing as appointed by the Federal Government under the National Senior Citizen’s Centre, NSCC, Abuja under the National Senior Citizens Centre Act 2017; and with the theme: “Celebrating the Resilience of older Persons: From Resilience to Empowerment.”
