Passengers plying the Minna-Bida Road on Monday were stranded as the road collapsed.
The collapse occurred about 23 kilometres from Bida after Sagamio farms.
The collapse came as a result of the heavy downpour occurring across the State in the past one week.
Vehicles leaving Minna could not proceed from their journey while those returning from the Ilorin-Mokwa-Jebba axis were also trapped at the spot.
The collapse was manageable as some vehicles tried to pass through but it worsened when a truck tried to pass and became stuck with its tyres eating deep into the road.
Some smaller vehicles were able to make a U-turn to take another route to their various destinations but larger vehicles like buses, heavy-duty trucks, trailers and tankers remained stranded.
