The Federal High Court sitting in Osogbo has affirmed Senator Ademola Adeleke as the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the July 16 governorship election in Osun State.
Adeleke’s recognition followed the court’s dismissal of a suit filed by a PDP governorship aspirant, Prince Dotun Babayemi, seeking to be declared the party’s candidate.
But Justice Nathaniel Emmanuel recognised the PDP governorship primary that produced Adeleke as the candidate.
He nullified the primary election that produced Babayemi, which held at WOCDIF Event Center, Osogbo on March 8th 2022.
The judgement was delivered amidst heavy security and lasted for one hour 45 minutes.
