UN honours D’banj, Omotola, Yemi Alade, 41 other Nigerians

D’banj, Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde, Yemi Alade and 41 other Nigerians were honoured on Wednesday at the United Nations as they were unveiled as part of the 2018 Most Influential People of African Descent Global 100 list.

The list recognises the positive contributions made by people of African descent, worldwide, across four categories of Politics and Governance, Business and Entrepreneurship, Media and Culture and Religious and Humanitarian.

The unveiling of the honorees was done at the 73rd United Nations General Assembly in New York.

Actress Jalade-Ekeinde shared some photos from the event on her Instagram page and captioned it: “Honoured to be one of the Most Influential 100 People of African Descent at the United Nations by @mipad100”

Other Nigerians who made the list include Davido, Falz the bahd guy, Dakore Egbuson, Yemi Kale, Ada Osakwe, Hadiza Bala Usman, Tolu Ogunlesi, Amy Jadesimi, Audu Maikori, Tomi Adeyemi, Chude Jideonwo and others.

Banky W and his wife, Adesua Etomi are one of the two power couples on the list.
