No fewer than 10,000 candidates seeking admission into Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba Akoko, AAUA, Ondo State, Nigeria, participated in the Post Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination, P-UTME, for the 2018/2019 academic session.
The Vice Chancellor of the University, Prof. Igbekele Ajibefun, disclosed this during a chat with the Information Unit of the Institution, after he, in company with the Deputy Vice Chancellor and Chairman of P-UTME Committee, Prof. Olugbega Ige, had inspected the conduct of the exercise at the Computer-Based Test Centre of the University.
About 10,000 candidates sat for the examination. But Ajibefun said that the University only has the admission quota of 5,300.
He expressed satisfaction with the conduct of the examination, saying: “I have gone round, and I am so impressed by the conduct of the examination. The servers and systems are functioning very well. The organisation is superb.”
He also commended the Committee handling the examination and other officers involved in the conduct for a well-done job.
