Nigeria\’s Ondo state chapter of the All Progressives Congress, APC says it successfully conducted congress in all the 203 wards in the state on Saturday.
The state chairman of the party, Engr Ade Adetimehin, said that report at the party’s disposal indicated a large turn-out of party faithful, peaceful conduct and substantial compliance to the congress guidelines.
Adetimehin in a statement in Akure, the state capital, congratulated party leaders, members and supporters over what he called landmark achievement and ample testimony to the seriousness of mind and respect for democracy of APC.
He commended security forces, the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, other observers and stakeholders for their sense of duty and responsibility.
He said with the conclusion of this very important excersie, the party in Ondo State has commenced the process of internal renewal which will end at the National Convention in Abuja in a few weeks’ time.
According to the statement, “Report received from all the 203 political wards of the State where the exercise took place indicated large turnout of party faithful as well as peaceful conduct and a substantial compliance to the congress guidelines.
”Therefore, I wish to congratulate our party leaders, members and supporters on this landmark achievement which is an ample testimony to the seriousness of mind and respect for democracy by our party, the All Progressives Congress (APC).
“Once again, we thank everyone for their love for our great party and promise to double our support for our leader, Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, SAN, in delivering good governance and life changing dividends to our esteemed people of Ondo State.”
